Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Chun Man Cai, developer of Seeti (“Seeti,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information when you use the Seeti iOS application and related services.
Seeti helps you save screenshots and images, recognize text, organize places and ideas, and create plans. Some features use optional third-party AI services. The information processed depends on the features and settings you choose.
Information we process
Account information
Seeti may be used as a guest or with an account. For signed-in users, we may process an email address, account identifier, optional display name and profile photo, authentication/session information, and subscription status. Applicable credentials and personal API keys are stored in the iOS Keychain.
Saved content
Depending on your use, Seeti may process screenshots or images you select, text recognized from them, saved places, restaurants, events, ideas, descriptions, names, addresses, areas, tags, dates, phone numbers, source excerpts, plans, reminders, personal context, quick notes, private notes, personal photos, and preferences.
Imported content may include information about you or others. Only import information you are authorized to use.
On-device processing
Where supported, Seeti uses Apple on-device technologies to recognize text from screenshots or images you select. Recognizing text locally does not, by itself, transmit the original image to an AI provider.
Some optional features transmit selected recognized text or related information when you authorize them, as explained below.
Account and cloud synchronization
When you sign in, Seeti may synchronize library records, recognized text, personal context, private notes, plans, and selected settings using Supabase for authentication, database services, storage, and backend functions.
Uploading new screenshots or personal photos to cloud storage is a separate optional setting. The Wi-Fi photo setting may govern photo uploads and downloads. Settings synchronization may include appearance, layout, swipe, and capture preferences, but excludes credentials and device permissions.
Edits and deletions may synchronize between devices. Disabling sync stops applicable future synchronization but does not automatically erase copies already stored on a device or in the cloud. Conflicting edits may require review.
Optional AI processing and training
What is shared
When you choose to use AI, Seeti may transmit recognized text (OCR) and information relevant to your request to OpenRouter and a selected third-party AI model provider. This may include personal information contained in imported content.
For ordinary AI organization, Seeti may send OCR text; separately enabled personal context or opted-in quick notes may also be included. Original screenshots, personal photos, private place notes, and calendar contents are not part of ordinary AI organization requests.
For AI-assisted detail completion, item editing, or search across saved information, Seeti may transmit relevant known item details, recognized text, your requested changes or question, and selected saved-item metadata. Public-information lookup may also involve a search provider.
Where requests go
Seeti-hosted AI requests pass through authenticated Supabase backend functions to OpenRouter and the selected model provider. Seeti may count requests per account for service limits. The provider and processing location can vary by request.
Provider retention and AI training
Seeti requests permission before sending applicable personal information to third-party AI services. You can decline and continue using Seeti without AI. You can withdraw permission for future requests through the app's AI settings. Withdrawing permission does not undo prior provider processing or guarantee deletion of information already processed by a third party.
Using your own API key
Advanced mode may let you provide your own OpenRouter API key and choose a model. The key is stored in this device's Keychain and requests are sent directly to OpenRouter. Provider billing and your OpenRouter account/provider privacy settings apply.
Accuracy
AI output can be incorrect or incomplete. Review important details before relying on them.
Personal context and quick notes
Quick notes remain part of your personal context. If “Include quick notes in AI organization” is enabled, future AI organization requests may send those opted-in notes with OCR text. Turning it off stops including those notes in future requests.
Other private notes and personal photos are excluded from ordinary AI organization. Personal intentions are not treated as proof of official dates or business hours.
Optional web search
When you choose a feature that completes place details or searches public information, Seeti may send the place name, known location details, relevant OCR text, or another necessary search query to a search-capable model or search provider. Public search results can be incomplete or inaccurate.
Photos and screenshots
You choose which images to import using Apple system interfaces. Seeti does not need unrestricted access to your entire photo library merely to import images through Apple's photo picker.
Original images and attached personal photos generally remain on your device unless you choose an applicable cloud-upload feature. Ordinary AI organization uses recognized text rather than the original screenshot.
Location and maps
With your permission, Seeti may access device location for map features or distance-based sorting. Location permission is managed through iOS. Distance calculations may occur on your device; precise GPS coordinates are not sent to the AI service merely to sort global-search results by distance.
Map features use Apple mapping technologies, which may process data under Apple's own terms.
Calendar
With your permission, Seeti may read selected calendar information to display schedule context and create calendar events when you request or confirm them. Calendar contents are not sent as part of ordinary AI processing. Plans stored separately in Seeti may sync if cloud synchronization is enabled.
Deleting a Seeti plan does not necessarily remove an event previously created in an external calendar.
Subscriptions
Apple processes App Store subscription payments. Seeti may process transaction identifiers and entitlement/subscription status to enable paid features and verify purchases. We do not receive your full payment-card information. Deleting a Seeti account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription.
How information is used
We use information to provide and secure the app, authenticate accounts, sync selected content, organize saved information, fulfill optional AI or search requests, provide maps and planning features, manage subscriptions and usage limits, respond to support requests, diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Seeti does not sell personal information or use saved-library content for cross-app behavioral advertising.
Third parties and sharing
Depending on enabled features, information may be processed by Supabase (authentication, database, storage, backend functions), OpenRouter and selected model providers (optional AI), search providers (optional web lookup), and Apple (iOS features, maps, subscriptions, and payments).
We may also disclose information where legally required or reasonably necessary to protect users or the service. Content you intentionally share through an iOS share action is sent to the recipient or service you select.
These services may have their own privacy policies and processing practices. We aim to use service providers with appropriate protections, but provider retention and training policies may differ, as described above.
Retention and deletion
Local information remains until deleted through the app, removed with app data, or otherwise removed from your device. Cloud records remain as needed to operate account and synchronization features until deleted or your account is deleted, subject to operational backups and legally required retention.
Disabling AI prevents new requests but does not undo processing already performed by AI providers. Providers may retain request information according to their own policies, including for security, abuse prevention, improvement, or model training where applicable.
Retention of infrastructure logs, backups, and third-party records may vary; contact us for information about a specific request.
Delete your account or data
You can request account deletion from Seeti's account settings. Account deletion is intended to remove associated cloud account data, cloud records, and cloud media, subject to applicable legal and operational retention.
Deleting your account does not automatically remove local device copies, system backups, external calendar events, data already shared with others, or records a third party must retain. You may remove local data through app controls or by deleting applicable app data.
If you need assistance with deletion or access, email the contact address below.
Security
We use measures intended to protect information, including account access controls and the iOS Keychain for applicable credentials. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain certain personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, and contact a data-protection authority.
You can manage AI processing, sync, optional photo uploads, location, and calendar permissions through Seeti and iOS settings where available. Withdrawal affects future processing, not completed processing. Contact us to make a privacy request.
International processing
Our service providers may process information outside your country of residence. Their locations and legal protections may differ. Where required, we use applicable safeguards for international transfers. The precise hosting region and relevant transfer safeguards should be verified against the production configuration.
Children’s privacy
Seeti is a general-audience app and is not specifically directed to children. We do not knowingly collect or process children's personal information in violation of applicable law. If we learn that information has been collected without consent required by law, we will take appropriate steps, potentially including deletion. Please contact us if you have concerns.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as features, providers, or legal requirements change. We will update the date shown above and provide additional notice or request additional permission where required.
